The teams at WordPress and Amazon made it incredibly easy to integrate their technologies with Alexa, so I’m happy to report that you can now access an audio version of Turtle’s Gift from any Alexa-enabled device (e.g. your phone, an Echo dot, etc.). The skill is called – you guessed it! – Turtle’s Gift. Just enable the skill, then ask Alexa to open Turtle’s Gift. It’s as simple as that!
You can also listen to the Alexa audio here on the website. You’ll notice that each blog post now includes a widget at the top that will play a speech recording of the post generated by Amazon’s AI service called “Polly”. Polly’s speech quality is really good, and the platform even provides a collection of different voices to read text. It just so happens that one of their selections is for a voice they call “Matthew”. Sounds like a perfect choice for the site!
